Shama Deshpande’s father was a Marathi actor and has been cast in many Marathi movies. It was because of him she became part of the Indian television industry. She made her debut through an Indian feature film named Jodidaar. She has worked in several other movies. Kaho Na Pyaar hai (2000) and Krishna Cottage (2004) are some of her notable works. She is a also a popular TV serial actress. She was a part of Madhubala - Ek Ishq ek Junoon (Tv serial). Her upcoming movie is Love Exchange, which is set to release in October 2015.
