People Should Not Overreact On Issues Like Nepotism Or Drugs Mafia Says Urmila Matondkar

After the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, the Hindi film industry brunt of the nepotism and drugs charges. Actor Urmila Matondkar who is known for her irreplaceable work in films expressed her views on the same.

Urmila said that people should not overreact on the issues and not the banned the movies of the stars. She further said that she has always stood for Bollywood and in future too she will support them.

Urmila Matondkar on Tuesday joined the Shiv Sena in Mumbai and addressed a press conference immediately thereafter. The actor-turned-politician had earlier lost her seat in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections while contesting for Congress.

When asked nepotism and drugs related controversies in film industry, She said, “I think definitely Bollywood people should do something for themselves. They should take their own stand. Further I want to say that people like us are always ready to help them. Till now I have stood for Bollywood and in future too I will be supporting them”

“People used to ask me that why the other celebs don’t speak on issues like Nepotism, drugs or the suicide of a star. So I want to say that they are in a quite vulnerable position, so they don’t raise their voice. Earlier Bollywood has been portrait in a very negative manner. Fighting against nepotism people banned the movies of certain actors. I think people should avoid doing this because it takes crores and crores of rupees to make a movie. Even I hate some celebs in Bollywood but that doesn’t mean I will stop people to watch their movies” added actress.

About actor Sushant Singh Rajput, his death certainly shocked the entire world. The ‘Chhichhore’ actor was found hanging in his Bandra apartment. His family and his fans were not ready to accept the fact that Sushant has committed suicide. There were speculations made that it was a pre-planned murder. Campaigns of justice on social media and allegations from SSR family raised doubts that became a part of an overall CBI investigation.
