Jaideep Ahlawat Dedicates His Black Lady To Irrfan Khan

This year cinema halls were shut owing to Covid-19 and so OTT platform took over and entertained the audience. Filmfare also started their very first OTT awards and it was a big win for Paatal Lok.

Jaideep Ahlawat who won best actor in a drama series (male) for the show dedicated this award to late actor Irrfan Khan.

Sharing a picture of himself with the black lady, he wrote, "The Black Lady is at home now. I dedicated this to The Only & Only "Irrfan" sir. Thank you so much #filmfare for recognising this. I thank you the entire team of "Paatal Lok" without them it was impossible. Thank you so much to all of you for the love you have given to me and Haathi Ram and Paatal Lok. I love you all."

Jaideep played the role of a Delhi cop Haathi Ram Chaudhary in the show whose integrity is put to test when he begins investigating a failed assassination attempt case. It featured Abhishek Banerjee, Neeraj Kabi, Ishwak Singh, Swastika Mukherjee and Gul Panag among others.

The show produced by Anushka Sharma's Clean Slate Films was loved by the audience and finally the show has received what it deserved. It has won the award for Best Series, Best Director, Best Actor in a drama series (male), Best Original Story (Series), Best Original Screenplay (Series).
