Akshay Kumar And Karan Johar Collaborate For Kesari, Confirmed
Finally, Karan Johar has his wish come true, the filmmaker always wanted to collaborate with action superstar Akshay Kumar and it is happening!
Filmmaker Karan Johar has announced the title and release date of his collaboration with Akshay Kumar. The film is based on the Battle of Saragarhi, co-produced by Akshay Kumar will be titled Kesari and it's slated to hit the theatres on the occasion of Holi next year. The movie will be directed by Anurag Singh.
Karan Johar made the big announcement on social media. He wrote, “Extremely excited to see this exceptional and brave story unfold!!! @akshaykumar #KESARI #holi2019”
Expressing his excitement on social media about the collaboration, Akshay Kumar also confirmed the same, hailing it as a personal and emotionally exciting movie.
He wrote, “A film I'm extremely excited about personally and emotionally... #Kesari releasing Holi 2019.”
Akshay Kumar is currently busy wrapping three massive projects, such as Gold, 2.0 and Padman.
Padman is based on the life of Arunachalam Muruganantham, a man who invented low-cost sanitary pads in India. The movie also features Sonam Kapoor, Radhika Apte, and Amitabh Bachchan.
2.0, the movie serves as a sequel to the 2010 Tamil film Enthiran and features Rajinikanth.
Gold is a biopic based on the life of hockey player Balbir Singh, who was on the team that won the first Olympic medal for India as a free nation in 1948.
