Kajal Aggarwal Roped In For Slice Of Film Drama Titled Uma
Actor Kajal Aggarwal has been roped in for Uma, a slice-of-life film set to be directed by Tathagata Singha.
The film is a feel-good drama, set in an aristocratic household with a wedding backdrop where the entire family assembles. The film unfolds through the multifaceted characters in the house with the arrival of a stranger Uma.
Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the film on social media. Sharing deeds about the projects, he wrote, “FILM ANNOUNCEMENT: KAJAL AGGARWAL IN & AS #UMA... #KajalAggarwal will head the cast of #Uma... A slice of life film... Directed by ad filmmaker Tathagata Singha... Produced by Avishek Ghosh and Mantraraj Paliwal [#Miraj Group]... Remaining cast will be announced later”
With filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh on-board as creative producer, the film is bankrolled by Avishek Ghosh and Mantraraj Paliwal is slated to be shot in a start-to-finish schedule in the second half of 2021, keeping all the COVID-19 protocols in consideration. The other cast members are going to be revealed soon.
Kajal had two big releases this year, Mosagallu directed by Jeffery Gee Chin co-starring Vishnu Manchu and Suniel Shetty; and Sanjay Gupta directed Hindi film Mumbai Saga.
