ED summons Rakul Preet, Rana Daggubati, Ravi Teja and Puri Jagannadh in 4-year-old drug case

ED has now summoned 12 Tollywood actors and directors, including Rakul Preet Singh, Rana Daggubati, Ravi Teja, Puri Jagannadh, Charmme Kaur, Mumaith Khan, among others, in a four-year-old drug case.

Director Puri Jagannadh has been summoned by the ED on August 31, Rakul Preet has been summoned on September 6. Rana has been called on September 8 and Ravi Teja has been summoned on September 9.

The ED is probing a money laundering case and these celebrities have been summoned as witnesses in the case. The money laundering probe is based on a case by the excise and prohibition department.

In 2017, these 12 actors and directors were questioned by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) as part of a high-end drug racket. The hair and nail samples of 62 suspects including the celebrities were collected that time but they were then given a clean chit as no charge sheet was filed against them.
