I Got Nervous After The Song Chingari Released Says Walushca De Souza

Model turned actress Walushca De Souza, who broke the internet with her traditional avatar in Chingari song from forthcoming Antim, says the only time she got nervous is when the song released.

Talking to Newshelpline post the song release, we asked if there was some nervousness about working on a dance number, Walusha said, “For me it was like Walusha wake up, it is actually happening. Only time I got nervous when I came to terms that the song is finally releasing. See, when you’re working you don’t really think about it, things like responsibility and the fact that you don’t want to disappoint the team and the audience. On the day of its release, I think I realized the magnitude of it, that it is a big song in a very big film from a great production house with Salman Khan in it”

Further adding, Waluscha said the song is not some random dance number; it is an essential for the flow of the story. “The song is essential in the flow of the film. It is a requirement in the film. I am glad that we all are talking about Lavani dance style, which hasn’t happened for a long time. We wanted to revive the dance form and we’re glad it has happened”

Chingari is fourth song from the film; it derives its roots from the traditional dance form Lavani and showcases the proud Marathi folk dance form in all its glory and grace.

Waluscha who is seen in a conventional Marathi avatar says she wanted to surprise the fans. She added, “People didn’t expect to see me in a setup like it, or dressed up in traditional attire, dancing as a Maharashtrian to a folk art, that way I am glad that I was able to surprise the audience”

Helmed by Mahesh Manjrekar, starring Salman Khan, Aayush Sharma and debutante Mahima Makwana in the lead roles, it is bankrolled by Salma Khan, and presented by Salman Khan Films.

The film will be released in theatres worldwide by Zee Studios on November 26.
