Ashutosh Rana Shares His Reasons For Doing Netflix’s Aranyak

Veteran actor Ashutosh Rana who will be seen playing the role Mahadev Dogra in forthcoming Aranyak, shares his reasons for picking the Netflix project.

Interacting with Newshelpline at Netflix’s Aranyak trailer launch, Ashutosh Rama shared his reasons for picking the drama series.

He said, “I was quite fortunate, the director of the series gave me a full narration of the show, scene by scene including the camera angles, so even before the shooting, I’d watched the whole thing unravel in my mind. I usually get hooked to the name of the characters, so when he said your character is Mahadev Dogra, it just melted in my ear, then came the narration and then he told me who is presenting the story, which is Netflix, in association with Sippy films and Sidharth Roy Kapur, and these are the people that I trust, they will never back content which will cheat the audience”

Further adding, Ashutosh Rana said he had to let go off his own self and invest in the character like never before despite unfavorable weather conditions.

He said, “I had to let go off Ashutosh Rana for the role and emerged myself into this character of Mahadev, so this process has been quite interesting for me. I left everything to the filmmaker, and it’s been a pleasant experience, plus we shot it some of the most challenging environmental difficulties, which was a challenge, but I enjoyed it. Plus I started off my 2021 with Pagglait, which released on Netflix and now ending it with Aranyak on Netlfix.”

The show is helmed by Vinay Waikul, also starring Raveena Tandon, Parambrata Chatterjee, Meghna Malik, Indraneil Sengupta and Zakir Hussain among others.

The drama series is set in the dense forest of the Himalayas, Raveena Tandon as a harried local cop, who joins hands with her city-bred replacement Angad (Parambrata Chatterjee) to solve a big-ticket murder case of a teenage tourist. As the two struggle to nail the serial killing entity, old skeletons get dug up, and a forgotten myth is revived.

Bankrolled by Roy Kapur Films and Ramesh Sippy Entertainment, and Rohan Sippy as its showrunner, it will premiere on Netflix this 10th December.
