83 The Film Teaser Is Out, Ranveer Singh Confirms Trailer And Release Date

Actor Ranveer Singh drops the first official teaser of forthcoming sports drama, 83 The Film, which chronicles the journey of Indian Cricket team and their outstanding World Cup Win, despite staggering odds.

The biographical sports drama is helmed by Kabir Khan, starring a whopping ensemble of Ranveer Singh as cricketer Kapil Dev, along with Deepika Padukone, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Jiiva, Saqib Saleem, Harrdy Sandhu, Ammy Virk, Pankaj Tripathi, Boman Irani, Nishant Dahiya, Sahil Khattar and a lot more.

Ranveer Singh took to his social media profile and dropped the teaser. The trailer for the same will be out on 30th November and film is slated for 24th December release.

He captioned it, “The greatest Story. The greatest Glory. 83 RELEASING IN CINEMAS ON 24TH DEC, 2021, in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. Teaser out now. Trailer out on 30th Nov. #ThisIs83”

The teaser begins with Viv Richards batting and as he hits the ball for the boundary and Kapil Dev cathes the ball, cementing the Indian Victory on 25th June 1983 at Lords cricket stadium, London.

Indian team won the 1983 cricket World Cup, defeating West Indies. The film showcases the story of India's iconic win at the 1983 Cricket World Cup.

The film is jointly produced by Kabir Khan, Vishnuvardhan Induri, Deepika Padukone and Sajid Nadiadwala. Actors Kamal Haasan and Nagarjuna Akkineni bankrolled the Tamil and Telugu language rights of the film. The film is slated for 24th December 2021, theatrical release.
