Mumbai, 10th January 2022 (NewsHelpline) - The gut-wrenching tale of Kashmiri Pandits exodus, The Kashmir Files was been postponed without any confirmed release date. The maker of the film just confirmed the news, due to spike in corona-cases.

The official handle of Zee Studios dropped the confirmation on the postponement of the release. The caption read, “#TheKashmirFiles will be getting unveiled soon. The official statement read, “Due to the significance spike in COVID cases in the country and the current scenario on theatres being partially or fully shut down in many states, we have decided to postpone the release of our movie The Kashmir Files. Let’s fight the pandemic together, wear mask and stay safe!”

The Kashmir Files is written and directed by Vivek Agnihotri starring Mithun Chakraborty, Pallavi Joshi, and Anupam Kher. The film tells the story of genocide of Kashmiri Hindus.

The film also stars Bhasha Sumbali, Chinmay Mandlekar, Puneet Issar, Prakash Belawadi, Mrinal Kulkarni, Bhasha Sumbli, Atul Srivastava and Prithviraj Sarnaik.

The film was slated for worldwide theatrical release on 26 January 2022, coinciding with India's Republic Day, but now, it’s been postponed.
