Mumbai, 11th January 2022 (NewsHelpline) – Actress Nia Sharma is out with a new music video, Phoonk Le, the song is trending on social media, but not without hard work, pain, sweat and a proper meltdown.

Interacting with NewsHelpline at the song launch in Mumbai, Nia Sharma talked about her struggle to make the best song ever and toll it took on her health.

Talking about the song, Nia said, “It is one of the most anticipated songs for me, because I haven’t done such an item song before and I don’t come from a dance background, so I am not pro at dancing, and to get offered such a dance number with Saregama, I was under tremendous pressure”

“Entire team of Saregama was like, we’re rooting for you Nia, this is an original song, we have so many hopes from you, and I got so nervous, and started out cycling more, work out more, and I stopped eating, and I kept pushing myself hard and longer in rehearsals” added Nia.

Nia further added that she wanted to be at par with Katrina Kaif, Malaika Arora, Urmila Matondkar and more.

She added, “I was under pressure and nervous, not knowing whether I will be able to pull this song or not, because best of item songs in India are knocked out by females in India. Celebrities such as Katrina Kaif, Malaika Arora, Urmila Matondarkar have knocked out some of the greatest item songs, and I really didn’t want to be mediocre, so, this song is my blood, sweat, hard work and more. I almost had meltdown before the shoot, I cried and I was certain that I will not be able to do justice to the song, but I am happy that the song has turned out amazing, it is my best” added Nia.

The song is composed by Rangon and sung by Nikhita Gandhi, with 1.4 million hits within hours of its release.
