OTT Does Offer More Opportunities To Newcomers And Non-Filmy Actors Says Sonnalli Seygall

Mumbai, 4th March 2022 (NewsHelpline) - Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety fame actress Sonnalli Seygall praises the OTT platforms for offering more opportunities to people who are newcomers and hails from non-filmy backgrounds.

Sonnalli Seygall was interacting with NewsHelpline for her new web-show Anamika, where she will be seen playing the role of an assassin.

When asked about OTT platforms are fast gaining footing in entertainment industry, Sonnalli said, “The whole line of OTT actor, TV actor and Film actor, all are blurring, right now, it is all about good work and good content. Not saying that everything will work on OTT, not every show could run, same goes for films, only the right and good content works”

“It is the time for good writing and good content, medium doesn’t matter, even as a viewer I try to consume best content. As an actor, it is exciting times for everyone, we have more opportunities and being from non-filmy background, OTT does give more opportunities to non-star people” added Sonnalli.

Anamika series is directed by Vikram Bhatt, also starring Sunny Leone, Samir Soni, Rahul Dev, Shehzad Shaikh, and Ayaz Khan.

Talking about her role, Sonnalli added, “I am playing Riya, who is an assassin, and my character is chasing Sunny Leone’s character and there is a lot of chasing and running around. Riya is a strong girl, she is quick and agile, but she is extremely focused and calm girl as well. She has a lot of layers, and she is evolving throughout the show”

Further praising Vikram Bhatt for penning such a good character, she said, “The way Vikram has written the character, it didn’t need much work, it is well written character. All I can say is Riya is very different kind of role, something I have never done before, and she is not at all like me, it will be fun to watch”

The eight-episode series will stream on MX Player, starting March 10.
