Anil Sharma Celebrates 21 Years Of Gadar
Mumbai, 15th June 2022 (NewsHelplline) - Filmmaker Anil Kapoor celebrates 21 years of Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, the romantic period action drama set during the Partition of India in 1947, starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel created ripples at the box-office in 2001.

Gadar: Ek Prem Katha went on to emerge as the highest-grossing Hindi film since Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! (1994). The film is the second most-watched Hindi film in India since the 1990s, recording more than 50 million footfalls in India. It has been one of the must-watch Bollywood films on the Partition of India.
Last year, director Anil Kapoor announced the sequel titled Gadar 2: The Katha Continues, starring Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma in the lead roles. Anil Sharma will direct the film sequel with Zee Studios producing the film.
