Akshay Kumar Confirms Raksha Bandhan Trailer Release Date

Mumbai, 20th June 2022 (NewsHelpline) - Superstar Akshay Kumar and filmmaker Aanand L Rai’s first ever collaborating, Raksha Bandhan, is a family drama revolving around brother-sister’s special bond, will have its trailer launch on 21stJune 2022, which is tomorrow.

Akshay Kumar took to his social media and shared a new poster for the film and wrote, “Bahane Jaan Hai…sisters and brothers are bound together with an unbreakable bond of love! The story written by Himanshu Sharma and Kanika Dhillon revolves around the love, bonding and attachment between brother-sister. The film also stars Bhumi Pednekar, Abhinay Raj Singh, Sahejmeen Kaur, Deepika Khanna, Sadia Khateeb and Smrithi Srikanth who play Kumar's sisters.

The film is bankrolled by Zee Studios, Colour Yellow Productions and Cape of Good Films. The film was originally scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on 5 November 2021 on the occasion of Diwali, but the release has now been deferred due to COVID-19 pandemic which caused a delay in its pre-production and other important works. The film will theatrically release on 11 August 2022.

Apart from Raksha Bandhan, actor Akshay Kumar has an interesting line-up for releases, such as Ram Setu, Mission Cinderella, OMG 2 – Oh My God 2, Selfiee and untitled Soorarai Pottru Hindi remake.
