Sunny Deol Celebrates 23 Years Of Dillagi, His Directorial Debut

Mumbai, 19th November 2022 (NewsHelpline) - Action super star Sunny Deol’s directorial debut, Dillagi, also starring Bobby Deol and Urmila Matondkar in the lead roles, clocks 23 years of its release and still holds a special place in senior Deol’s heart.

Release in 1999, the film Dillagi was produced, directed and acted by Sunny Deol, his first ever movie with his real-life brother Bobby Deol. The film was well-received by the audience, but the music album of the film is still a hit among fans.

As the movie clocks 23 years of its release, actor Sunny Deol shared a video post on his social media and wrote, “#Dillagi will always remain close to my heart. Dillagi was announced with a different title, London, and Karisma Kapoor was supposed to be leading lady, and Gurinder Chadha was the director, but things didn’t materialize, Sunny Deol replaced Gurinder Chadha as director and Urmila Matondkar replaced Karisma Kapoor as heroine.

After Dillagi, brothers Sunny and Bobby collaborated on many projects, such as Shaheed, Apne, Heroes, Yamla Pagla Deewana franchise. Actor Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol was currently busy wrapping Apne 2, which also stars Dharmendra and Karan Deol.
