Bollywood Mourns The Demise Of Satish Kaushik

Mumbai, 9th March 2023 (NewsHelpline) - Actor, writer and director Satish Kaushik, known for his roles like Calendar in Mr India, passed away at 66 in the early hours of Thursday. He reportedly succumbed to a heart attack while travelling in a car. Doctors tried reviving Kaushik but he breathed his last on March 9.

He is survived by his wife Shashi and daughter 11-year-old Vanshika Kaushik. His body has been taken to Deendayal Hospital for post-mortem and is expected to be handed over to his family at around 3 pm, following which his last rites will be conducted.

The news of Kaushik's death has left everyone stunned and shocked, celebrities suc has Suneil Shetty, Abhishek Bachchan, Anupam Kher and more took to their social media and expressed their grief.

Actor Suniel Shetty tweeted, “Today, we've lost one of the finest of the film industry. His memory will be a blessing to all those who knew and loved him. Heartfelt condolences to the family. #RestInPeace #SatishKaushik”

Actor Abhishek Bachchan shared, “Shocked to hear of the passing of our beloved Satish Kaushik ji. A most gentle, kind and loving person. Always happy and smiling. A huge loss to our industry. Rest in peace dearest Satish uncle. We will all miss you”

Actor Anupam Kher, who shared a special bond with Satish, tweeted, “I know, death is the final truth of this life, but someday I would write this about my dear friend #SatishKaushik, I had never even dreamed about it, our 45 years friendship came to a sudden halt!! Life will NEVER be the same without you SATISH ! Om shanti!”

Satish Kaushik has been part of some of the most iconic films of Indian cinema, such as Jaane Bhi Do yaaro, Mandi, Ram Lakhan, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Sharmaji Namkeen, Thar and more.
