Bheed Trailer Is Out, A Gut-Wrenching Tale Of Lockdown

Mumbai, 10th March 2023 (NewsHelpline) - The untold story of a crisis that shook the whole nation. A time when borders of disparity divided the people and one man, fought for humanity, the first official trailer of Bheed is out.

The official handle of Reliance Entertainment shared the trailer on social media, it said, “In the darkest times faced by the nation, one man will dare to make a difference. Trailer out now - #Bheed, in cinemas on 24th March. A #RelianceEntertainment Overseas Release. @anubhavsinha @RajkummarRao #PankajKapur @bhumipednekar @RelianceEnt @virendrasaxena @Kritika_Kamra @deespeak @ranaashutosh10 #AdityaSrivastava #SushilPandey #KaranPandit @BenarasM #DhrubDubey #SagarShirgaonkar @CastingChhabra @AAFilmsIndia”

Helmed by Anubhav Sinha, the film stars Rajkumar Rao, Bhumi Pednekar, Dia Mirza, Ashutosh Rana, Pankaj Kapur, Kritika Kamra, Kumud Mishra, Aditya Shrivastav, Veerendra Saxena, Mahesh Chandra Deva and Shushil Pandey.

The film revolves around migrant workers, facing massive backlash in cities and their village for which they flew cities. From lack of food, water, medicine, transport, and sheer decent human behaviour, the film narrates a tale which is all so relatable, yet untold.

The film dramatizes the events in the immediate aftermath of the first lockdown in 2020, and how it affected different strata of society. Presented in black and white, Bheed draws parallels to the India-Pakistan Partition of 1947 both in imagery, and more overtly, when it has a journalist character say this in as many words.

Bheed is set for a theatrical release on 24 March 2023.
