The Elephant Whisperers Bags Oscar, Vijay Deverakonda Wishes The Entire Team

Mumbai, 13th March 2023 (NewsHelpline) – The results of 95th Academy Awards are out, and the best documentary trophy goes to The Elephant Whisperers, and expressing his excitement over the win, superstar Vijay Deverakonda wishes the entire team of the docu-film.

The Elephant Whisperers is a Tamil short documentary film directed by documentary filmmaker Kartiki Gonsalves in her directorial debut. The documentary is about the bond that develops between a couple and an orphaned baby elephant, Raghu, who was entrusted to their care. Produced by Guneet Monga under Sikhya Entertainment, it won the Academy Award for Best Documentary Short Film at the 95th Academy Awards.

Sharing the news about the win, Guneet Monga took to her social media and shared, “Tonight is historic as this is the first ever Oscar for an Indian production. On the work front, Vijay is currently busy wrapping Kushi, written and directed by Shiva Nirvana. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, it also stars Samantha Ruth Prabhu.
