We Need To Rethink Villages Says Rajshri Despande

Mumbai, 15th May 2023 (Newshelpline) - Despite the fact that rural-economy depends upon agriculture, but due to lack of water, they are forced to migrate, actress and activist Rajshri Despande under Nabhangan Foundation started river reviving work in Pachegaon.

Sharing a picture on her social media, Rajshri Despande wrote, “Finally Pachegaon village River Reviving work commenced.  Every effort we have made so far my team @Nabhangan5make sure the entire village has to come together to take the ownership. It took us arduous months to get the whole village together but finally we did it!”

“Marathwada do faces Migration because of water scarcity, no educational infrastructure, no health care & absolutely no work opportunities in villages. We need more holistic development and sustainable ground work approach. We need to RETHINK VILLAGES!” added Rajshri.

Back in 2018, Rajshri started her NGO Nabanghan Foundation for rural regeneration and community building to empower villages. With her relentless efforts, Rajshri is among few celebrities who is actually making a change, where it is needed.

Meanwhile on the work front, Rajshri Despande was last seen in Netflix release Trail By Fire, based on Uphaar Cinema fire scandal where 59 people lost their lives, mostly school kids. The film also starred Abhay Deol in the lead role.
