Studipto Sen Introduces His Real Inspiration For The Kerala Story
Mumbai, 17th May 2023 (Newshelpline) - Filmmaker Sudipto Sen hosted a press conference and introduced the real inspiration for his controversial movie, The Kerala Story.
The makers of The Kerala Story hosted a press conference in Mumbai and introduced religion-conversion survivors on which the movie is based.
Talking about the girls from Aarsha Vidya Samajam Ashram, who inspired him to make the film, director Sudpito Sen said, “The girls who forced us or say inspired us to make this film, their number is too many in our country, but few of them are with us today here, and I want to honor them all.”
“Let me tell you small incident, I want to share this incident because without knowing it you probably wouldn’t know where the roots of this film are. I will introduce Shruti, Chitra, and Adhira, the first time I met these Shruti, in a small village, she didn’t have electricity in her house, because they cut the supply. And every time she would go out to purchase vegetable, people would snatch their bags. They gave me their interview from a small little partition of their home, because they were scared to come out”
“People have misused these girls and forced them into a life desolation, and that was my inspiration to make this film. This is not a day for me, this is day these girls to be heard. Please treat them with compassion when you talk about them.” Added Sudipto.
