Prosenjit Chatterjee Confirms Devi Chowdhurani Based On Rebellion In 1776
Mumbai, 19th May 2023 (Newshelpline) - Basking in the glory of Jubilee success, actor Prosenjit Chatterjee and ahead of Scoop release, the actor announces a film based on Bandit Queen of Bengal titled Devi Chowdhurani, slated for 2024 release.
Based on the novel by Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay, the film will chronicle the first ever rebellion by Sanyasi and Fakir back in 1776, against the British Empire.
