The most celebrates and popular American singer Tina Turner passed away peacefully in her home near Zurich at the age of 83 after a long illness.

Tributes have flooded in for Tina Turner after she passed away on Wednesday. Celebrities such as Madhur Bhandarkar, Malaika Arora, Salim Merchant and more bid an emotional goodbye to the singer.

Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar took to his Twitter profile and wrote, “Rest in power and peace, #TinaTurner You gave us incredible music, energy, and spirit. you will be forever remembered and cherished”

Malaika Arora also took to her insta profile and shared a story, it read, “My Rock Idol. You’re simply the best”

“The magnetic powerhouse of a voice…a legend!RIP” read the second story.

Singer Salim Merchant also shared a story on his insta profile, it read, “Rest in power Tina Turner. Your music and spirit will continue to inspire generations to come #TinaTurner #RestInPower #MusicLegend”

Turner was one of the best-loved female rock singers known for her on-stage charisma and a string of hits, selling more than 180 million albums worldwide in a career spanning seven decades.

The performer teamed with husband Ike Turner for a dynamic run of hit records and live shows in the 1960s and ’70s, before triumphing in middle age with the chart-topping “What’s Love Got to Do With It."
