Very excited to play a mother’s role for the first time says Kalki Koechlin

Kalki Koechlin who was present at the special screening of her upcoming film ‘Ribbon’ on Sunday, during media interaction said, she was very excited to play her age and a mother’s role for the first time.

Kalki talked about her experience as a mother for the first time, “I was very excited to play a mother’s role for the first time. Normally I do underaged roles of 18 or 19 yr olds, but the first time I am playing someone my age. The story is very relatable, I don’t have kids but in an expensive city like Mumbai to balance work and family life isn’t easy, which is why people will relate to the film. Any urban couple today before thinking about kids will obviously face these problems.”

When asked about fraternity’s response Kalki said, “Now we will find out when they watch the film today, they are all my friends who will give me a genuine opinion. I was in Delhi shooting with Zoya Akhtar, she told me the film looks interesting and the trailer is good. So ya, but I haven’t really heard from other big celebrities (laughs).”
