Milap Zaveri Pens A Heartfelt Note As Main Tera Hero Clocks A Decade

Filmmaker and writer Milap Zaveri celebrates 10 years of Main Tera Hero, helmed by David Dhawan, starring Varun Dhawan, Nargis Fakhri and Ileana Dcruz.

One of the highlights of "Main Tera Hero" was its witty and humorous dialogues, which Milap Zaveri co-wrote with Tushar Hiranandani.

Zaveri recently took to his social media to share some nostalgic moments from the film's promotional events in 2014. He fondly recalled Varun Dhawan's dedication to ensuring that one of the film's iconic lines, "Main dikhta hoon sweet innocent swami type ka, lekin hoon bahut bada haraami type ka," made it into the final cut, showcasing the actor's commitment to his character and craft.

He wrote, “10 Years of #MainTeraHero “Main dikhta hoon sweet innocent swami type ka, lekin hoon bahut bada haraami type ka!” Was so much fun writing the dialogues of this huge hit directed by the Legendary David Dhawan sir! @varundvn was absolutely MINDBLOWING as Seenu! What a fantastic performance he gave! And I must give him credit for ensuring the “Swami-Haraami” line stayed in the film! Yes! David sir had edited it out at script level to reduce the length of the scene but @varundvn called me a night before shoot and asked me to message the line to him! Next day he said it in the shot without David sir’s knowledge and the rest became history! So grateful to @ektarkapoor for believing in me. Also couldn’t have written this without my buddy @tusharhiranandani who wrote the screenplay! Huge love to Rohit Dhawan the silent warrior! @anupampkher sir aap ne goonj goonj ke hungama kar diya diya diyaaa! @ileana_official @nargisfakhri @sufisoul @rajpalofficial @saurabhshuklafilms @shaktikapoor all were brilliant! Last but not the least my brother Wajid @thesajidwajid Your music was epic @balajimotionpictures”

Main Tera Hero, a romantic action comedy film, produced by Shobha Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor under the Balaji Motion Pictures banner, was a remake of  Telugu film Kandireega. The film released on 4 April 2014 to mixed reviews from critics, though it became a box office success.
