Couldn’t Find A Commercial Hero, So I Acted In Aranmanai Franchise Says Sundar C

Actor, writer and director Sundar C, who acted and directed all four parts of comedy-horror Aranmanai, said he couldn’t find a hero for powerful female centric film; hence he did the part himself.

Sundar C along with his wife actress Khushbu, Tamannaah Bhatia, Raashii Khanna was interacting with media during a press-meet to promote Hindi release of Aranmanai 4.

Sharing the reasons for acting in all the parts of Aranmanai, director Sundar said, “All the four Aranamai movies has been female centric movies with very powerful female characters. And I found it very odd that it was hard to find a male commercial hero for the movie. When the heroine character is so strong, the hero might think what he will do in the movie, that why I thought I will do the part in the movie.”

The Tamil version of the movie has already minted 100 Cr at the box-office and Sundar C is nothing but praises for Tamannaah Bhatia.

He said, “When I wrote the script, the character is the core of the movie, and I wanted someone who is powerful in her performance, at the same time audience should relate to her, and she should have some star value as well, and glamour, I wanted everything, and we all know Tamannaah has it all, and I wanted a superlative emotional performance her. I have worked with her previously, and I know she is talented, and I wanted her other side to show in the movie, which no one has shown before. She is such a fantastic and dedicated actress, she has been in industry for 18 years, I don’t think anyone survive this long without talent, dedication and professionalism.”

“No one expected Tamannaah to perform this well in South, I am being honest, and it was a sweet surprise for everybody, and everyone just talked about her performance after watching the movie” added Sundar.

The Hindi version of Aranamai 4 will hit the cinema halls on 31st May 2024.
