The energetic superstar Varun Dhawan has just bagged the prestigious Best Actor Male Award at 9th Jagran Film Festival for the heart-warming role in October. The actor says that his movie, October will live forever.

Varun Dhawan took to his social media profile and expressed his gratitude for the award. He captioned it, “Won best actor for #October. The Shiuli flower has a life span only for a night but I have a feeling October will live on forever @ShoojitSircar @writeonj @ronnielahiri”

The official handle of Jagran Film Festival also confirmed the news on social media. They shared pictures of Varun being honored with an award by Pooja Bhatt.

October is a slice of life romantic drama film directed by Shoojit Sircar, and produced by Ronnie Lahiri and Sheel Kumar under their Rising Sun Films banner. It stars Varun Dhawan, Banita Sandhu, and Gitanjali Rao. The film depicts the life of a hotel-management intern (Varun) who takes care of his comatose fellow intern unconditionally and unconventionally.

Varun Dhawan is currently enjoying the success of his first ever outing with Anushka Sharma, Sui Dhaaga- Made In India, the film is directed by Sharat Katariya under the banner of Yash Raj Films.

Next Varun will be seen in multi-starrer Kalank, a period drama film directed by Abhishek Varman, set against the backdrop of the partition and Indian independence struggle in the 1940s. The film also stars Madhuri Dixit, Sonakshi Sinha, Alia Bhatt, Aditya Roy Kapur, and Sanjay Dutt in lead roles.
