Mission Mangal Is A Story Of Women Power Says Akshay Kumar

Just yesterday the makers of “Mission Mangal” dropped an impressive and outstanding teaser of the film, which chronicles the tale of Indian women scientists of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) who contributed to India's first interplanetary expedition Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM).

Super star Akshay Kumar just took to his social media profile and shared a candid working still and wrote, “Be it making a home or launching a successful space mission, women know it all! Celebrating the power of women scientists, #MissionMangal is their story! @taapsee @sonakshisinha @vidya_balan @TheSharmanJoshi @MenenNithya @IamKirtiKulhari @Jaganshakti @FoxStarHindi  #HopeProductions”

The film stars Akshay Kumar, Taapsee Pannu, Vidya Balan, Sharman Joshi, Nithya Menen and Kirti Kulhari in the leading roles.

'Mission Mangal', which is being touted as India's first space film is based on true events, but the team has taken some creative liberties for cinematic purposes. The mission was successful because of the team work, and every character has their moment of glory in the screenplay. It is the story of an underdog team standing tall against all odds.

Recently releases teaser shared a sneak-peek into the story line where we get the glimpses of all the actors who are all set to launch the 'Mangalyaan'.

Akshay who essays the role of a scientist Rakesh Dhawan is seen initiating the command for the launch of the spaceship. Vidya Balan is seen giving instructions to start further procedures. Later in between the countdown of the launch, we get to see a sight of all the other cast in their roles.

Directed by Jagan Shakti, the film will hit the screens on August 15.
