Bollywood Mourn The Amritsar Train Tragedy

Bollywood Celebrities mourn the death of Amritsar Tragedy. The Dusshera celebrations ended on a tragic note in Amritsar when people had gathered around the railway tracks to watch the festivities were run over by a running train.

Anil Kapoor, Ajay Devgn, Sonu Sood, Farhan Akhtar, Sonu Sood and many more expressed their grief on social media.

Ajay Devgn wrote, “Pained to hear about the Amritsar train tragedy. Deepest condolences to the bereaved families”

Anil Kapoor wrote, “A tragic incident that could have been avoided if only. Sending my thoughts and prayers to the families of the deceased and wishing a speedy recovery for the ones injured. #Amritsar”

Actor and filmmaker Farhan Akhtar wrote, “Saddened to hear about the loss of life in #Amritsar. Safety in public spaces HAS TO be taken a lot more seriously. Deepest condolences to all families affected by this tragedy”

Paltan actor Sonu Sood, who hails from Punjab, also expressed his grief. He wrote, “So disturbed to see the visuals of #AmritsarTrainincident have no words to express how sad is the whole incident. Mere negligence could cost so many lives. Wish it was not true. May God give strength to the families who lost their loved ones. Wish this was not true”

The mob of people was standing on the tracks at a railway crossing in Amritsar, when a train mowed down close to 60 people. They could not see or hear the train due to the crackers.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Ram Nath Kovind and other personalities have tweeted their condolences to the bereaved families.
