Sunny Leone, playing Veeramadevi in the upcoming Tamil film faces opposition

Indo-Canadian actress Sunny Leone, who is all set to make her debut in a Tamil film 'Veeramadevi' is being opposed by Karnataka Rakshana Vedike (KRV).

Protestors have burned posters of the actress featuring as 'Veeramadevi' as they feel the former porn star should not be playing the part of any historical character.

The protest was lead by Karnataka Rakshana Vedike in front of the Town Hall in Bengaluru. They burnt posters of Sunny and raised slogans banning her from entering the city.

They have also vowed to disrupt a performance by Sunny in Bengaluru on November 3

Veeramadevi is a multi-lingual film, directed by V.C. Vadivudaiyan, it also stars Navdeep in a pivotal role.

Sunny was last seen hosting the season 11 of youth-based reality show "Splitsvilla" on MTV.
