Helmed by Anurag Singh, Kesari narrates the tale of Havildar Ishar Singh who participates in the Battle of Saragarhi, a war fought between an army of 21 Sikhs and 10,000 Afghans in 1897, while yearning for the respect of his estranged daughter.
Talented actress Parineeti Chopra also plays a pivotal role but one gets the only glimpse of her in the trailer. Actor Akshay Kumar plays the role of Havildar Ishar Singh, a Sikh soldier who fought the Battle of Saragarhi and his intensity has done full justice to the role.
