Cash for Tweet, I Couldn’t Do It, So I Didn’t Do It Says Vidya Balan

Actress Vidya Balan says she won’t pass any judgment on the people who are named in cash for tweet sting operation, she didn’t do it because she didn’t want to do it.

A media group recently released a documentary titled 'Operation Karaoke', in which actors, dancers, singers and models were caught accepting the offer for promoting political parties through hidden cameras.

More than 30 Indian film and TV industry actors/artistes agreed to spread the propaganda of political parties through their social media accounts for money.

Talking about the whole sting operation and people who are named in it, Vidya said, “I will not pass any judgment about anyone, so I won’t say anything about it. I wasn’t comfortable doing it, so I didn’t do it. Each to his own, maybe they didn’t even realize the whole thing, because nowadays everyone is commenting on everything on social media. So they thought it was not such a big thing”

“And we shouldn’t really become judge, jury and executioner at the drop of a hat...Each to his own, I couldn’t do it, so I didn’t do it. That is it”

Vidya Balan will be hosting a show on Big 92.7 FM titled "Dhun Badal Ke Toh Dekho" that aims to talk on various topics to bring about a change in people's perspective on different issues.

The actress also added that she will help and guide people but will not be giving legal advice. She said, “We will definitely talk about the options available, probably give you the proper information about the people, you can seek help from, but we cannot give you any legal advice. It would be wrong of us to give any sort of legal advice. But we will help you by giving the right kind of information”

On the work front, Vidya Balan is currently busy with Pink remake, which also stars Ajith Kumar in the lead role.
