Web series is an apt platform for me says Zoya Akthar
Filmmaker Zoya Akthar, who is gearing up for the release of her forthcoming web series titled ‘Made In Heaven’, has said that web series is an apt platform for her as it gives a lot of time to the makers of the show to open and resolve storyline of the show.
Zoya Akthar was interacting with the media at special screening of ‘Made In Heaven’ along with Reema Kagti, Deepti Naval, Arjun Mathur, Vijay Varma, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Nitya Mehra, Shruti Seth, Alankrita Shrivastava, Shweta Tripathi, Chaitanya Sharma and Mallika Dua on Tuesday in Mumbai.
Sharing her excitement for ‘Made in Heaven’ Zoya said, “I am really excited because this is my, Reema’s (Reema Kagti) and Tiger Baby Productions first long format show.”
The series chronicles the lives of Tara and Karan, two wedding planners in Delhi running an agency named ‘Made in Heaven’.
When asked Zoya how she looks at web series format, she said, “I find format of web series really interesting. I watch a lot of web series. In films, you get two hours to develop a character or an arc but here in web series format, you get eight hours to showcase your story. Anyways, I tend to overwrite so for me, it’s really an apt format because you get a lot of time to open and resolve the story so, I hope audience will appreciate ‘Made In Heaven’.
