Sushant Singh Rajput’s father files FIR against Rhea Chakraborty and her family members

Late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide case witnessed a major shift on Tuesday as his father Krishna Kumar Singh filed a police complaint (FIR) against his girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, also an actor, over a month after he was found dead in his Mumbai apartment.

Sushant Singh Rajput's family, who live in Patna, have accused her of abetment to suicide, alleging that she cheated him financially and mentally harassed him.

Sushant’s father, in his FIR said that on June 8, when Rhea found that bank balance of Sushant is going down, she left with cash, jewellery, laptop, credit card, its pin number and password and important documents and doctors’ receipts.

The First Information Report (FIR) also names six others including her family members. A four-member team of Patna Police has already left for Mumbai to probe the case.

Sushant died by suicide at his Bandra flat in Mumbai on June 14.

This is the first time the family have gone public with their accusations and sources close to them say they deliberated whether to wait for the investigation by Mumbai Police.

Sushant’s father has expressed his inability to go to Mumbai to fight the case due to his health issues. Therefore, the case was filed in Patna.

As per the latest reports, Mumbai police officials have received the late  actor’s viscera reports post which they have ruled out any foul play in his demise. They are now waiting for the nail samples and stomach wash reports that will be sent by the forensic department. It was already revealed in the post mortem reports earlier that Sushant had passed away because of asphyxia.

Earlier this month, Rhea Chakraborty, had called for a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into Sushant Singh Rajput's death, tagging Union Home Minister Amit Shah in a post on Instagram.

Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray has said that the state government will initiate a CBI probe in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case if needed. Lok Janshakti Party president Chirag Paswan talked to Thackeray over the phone on the matter.

Meanwhile, Mumbai Police’s investigation is still going on and around 37 people have been interrogated till date.
