‘Yeh Saali Aashiqui’ Gave Me An Identity Says Vardhan Puri
Debut movie is always close to the heart of every actor, and so is for actor Vardhan Puri, who believes that his debut thriller movie ‘Yeh Saali Aashiqui’ has given him his own identity.
Grandson of the late veteran actor Amrish Puri, newbie Vardhan Puri made his debut as a dark-anti-hero in “Yeh Saali Aashiqui”.
Talking about his debut movie, Vardhan said, “Nobody knew me before my debut film. I was an assistant director or theatre actor, there was no such identity of mine. No one knew my name also. Even when I went out, nobody used to recognize me. But after doing this film people have started recognizing me. I am getting many projects because the makers liked my work too much”
After the theatrical release, the film had its digital release and instantly clicked with the audience.
“I am feeling too positive about all this. Even on OTT, my film has got a good rating. For me success and failure are temporary. The thing that motivates me is to see that my family feels proud of me. In fact, they liked my work and my acting so much that they watched the movie for around 20 to 25 times. This is my reward, my award, my prize or whatever you say” added Vardhan.
