Will not get over this; John mourns death of his ‘Force’ and ‘Rocky Handsome’ filmmaker friend Nishikant Kamat

Actor John Abraham who collaborated with filmmaker Nishikant Kamat for two films named ‘Force’ and ‘Rocky Handsome’ paid an emotional tribute to his late filmmaker friend Nishikant Kamat on Monday.

Sharing two pictures of Nishikant Kamat along with him on his Instagram handle, John wrote, “Will not get over this .... Rest In Peace #NishikantKamat”

John Abraham shared a close bond with Nishikant Kamat as he featured in Nishikant’s second Hindi directorial film ‘Force’ which also featured Genelia D’Souza and Vidyut Jammwal in lead roles. The film released on 30 September 2011, and received mostly positive reviews upon release. John Abraham's performance was also praised by public and critics.

In ‘Rocky Handsome’ which released in 2016, John Abraham played main lead and Nishikant Kamat played negative lead in the film.

‘Rocky Handsome’ was declared hit at the box office but it received mixed reviews from the critics.

Nishikant Kamat was admitted to AIG hospital in Hyderabad on 31 July 2020 with complaints of fever and excessive fatigue. It was diagnosed that he was suffering from Liver Cirrhosis for the past two years. Since 16 August 2020, he developed respiratory failure and hypotension. He succumbed to his illness on Monday.

Many bollywood celebrities paid their last tribute to talented actor-filmmaker on their social media handles.

On film front, John Abraham next will be seen on in Lakshya Raj Anand’s ‘Attack’ along with Jacqueline Fernandez and Rakul Preet Singh.

John will also feature in Milap Zaveri’s ‘Satyameva Jayate’ along with Divya Khosla Kumar.
