Reshma Pasupuleti (born 1 September 1983) is an Indian film and a popular and leading TV actress who primarily appears in Tamil language films and TV series. She started her career as an anchor and also a news reporter in Telugu TV channel. She began her TV career in Tamil through Vamsam. In 2016, She acted in Vishnu Vishal's Velainu Vandhutta Vellaikaaran as a supporting role, soon her role well reached and became household name as 'Pushpa'. Also, She is well known for her roles in Vamsam, Andal Azhagar and Baakiyalakshmi. In 2019, She participated in Tamil reality show Bigg Boss Tamil 3, however she got later evicted from the show on the 42nd day after facing public vote where she failed to receive enough votes from the public to continue in the show.
She is very well known for her character as Radhika in the popular television serial Baakiyalakshmi which aired on Star Vijay. She also received an award for her character under the category of “Best Supporting Actress - Female” in 2022.
Reshma Pasupuleti was born into a Telugu-speaking family to Prasad Pasupuleti, a Telugu film producer. She has a sister Deepti and Sushma who is a software engineer in the USA. Pasupuleti pursued her education abroad, first in Arkansas, and then completed her engineering degree in the computer science department from the Texas A&M University. She joined Amitysoft Software Institution for a course on software testing and later also briefly worked as an air hostess with Delta Airlines.
Pasupuleti subsequently began working as a news anchor English news for TV5, and her work on the channel garnered her more anchoring role as well as acting opportunities in television series. The Tamil series Vamsam, where she appeared along with Ramya Krishnan, became popular and as a result, Pasupuleti was keen to act in films.Pasupuleti made her acting debut with Masala Padam (2015), playing the heroine opposite debutant actor Gaurav. She has subsequently appeared in several more films, notably playing a news reader in Ko 2 (2016) and a comedy role in Velainu Vandhutta Vellaikaaran (2016) alongside Soori. She then appeared in Girls (2016), a Tamil and Malayalam bilingual, about illicit relationships. In 2019, Pasupuleti appeared on the reality television show, Bigg Boss Tamil 3.
