Dulquer Salman is very charming boy says Irrfan Khan

Actor Irrfan Khan attended promotional event of his upcoming film 'Qarib Qarib Singlle' on Wednesday in Mumbai. While interacting with media, Irrfan Khan stated that his upcoming film 'Karwan's co-star Dulquer Salman is very charming boy.

Dulquer Salman, son of veteran actor Mammootty and heart-throb of Malayalam cinema who has delivered noteworthy performances in films like 'Bangalore Days', 'Charlie' and 'O Kadhal Kanmani' will be sharing the screen with none other than Irrfan Khan in his debut bollywood film'Karvan', talking about that film, Irrfan said, "Karvan is a light hearted film. It's about journey. I am really glad with the casting of the film. In that film, Mithila (Palkar) and Dulquer is there. Dulquer is fantastic guy. He is very charming boy. Amala (Paul) is also in this film. I met her for the first time while shooting of that film She is doing fantastic work in her industry. It's a beautiful film and team is also new. Way of storytelling is also very fun in 'Karvan' ". 'Karvan' is directed by directed by Akarsh Khurana and produced by Ronnie Screwvala.

Irrfan Khan collaborating with Deepika Padukone after super success of 'Piku' in Vishal Bhardwaj produced film 'Sapna Didi' which will be directed by Bhrdwaj's assistant director and casting director Honey Trehan, talking about that film, Irrfan isad, "I am very excited for my next film with Deepika. Vishal sir will send me final version of that film. Our shooting dates has been fixed. I am really looking forward to that film. It's an entertaining film but it delve into dark space like usually Vishal sir's films are and Deepika has very strong role in it".

When asked about kind of movies Irrfan wants to do in future, he said, "I want to all kind of films. Right now, I am working on a film and I will start shooting of that film in May-June. Its hard-hitting film which I haven't done earlier and it will surpass expectations of the audience."

Asked about Hollywood's ongoing controversy over sexual allegations against producer Harvey Weinstein, Irrfan said a sexually suppressed society was the cause of exploitation and this was not limited to the film industry.

"Whenever the society is sexually suppressed, whichever gender who has an opportunity, if the male has more power, he will exploit the woman, and if the woman has more power, she will exploit man"

"In India, we do have sexual suppression. We have put so many conditions and values behind it, anyone can judge a relationship between two people and this is not a healthy sign," added the actor. Irrfan said, "People are exploited, and there is nothing to hide in it and it is prevalent in every field. This issue is not limited to film line. Every line of work, where there is sexual suppression, people would exploit."

'Qarib Qarib Singlle is directed by Tanuja Chandra. It is slated to release on 10th November, 2017.
